LAUREN CIRIGLIANO, SENIOR PUBLICIST
Lauren Cirigliano loves books and she loves publicity. An avid reader since childhood, Lauren was destined to become one of the country's top book publicists under age thirty. Even before graduating from college, Lauren found a job at the publishing giant Simon & Schuster where she developed the skills necessary to help authors promote their work.
Since joining Jane Wesman Public Relations in early 2009, Lauren has made hundreds of
media placements for the firm's clients. Lauren is known for her total commitment to
each project, whether it's a novel, business book, memoir, or fitness guide. Publicizing
books that are difficult to categorize is one of her specialties. "Books that don't
fit the usual mold really energize me. Finding ways to interest the media in an
unusual project is truly fulfilling."
Lauren has worked on the publicity campaigns for novels such as Jilliane Hoffman's
Pretty Little Things and William Gladstone's The Twelve, and for nonfiction
titles such as Jessica Pryce-Jones' Happiness at Work, Robert Smith's
Riches Among the Ruins, Al Weatherhead's The Power of Adversity, Toni Yancey's
Instant Recess, Kathy Ullrich's Getting to the Top, and George Whalin's
Retail Superstars. Lauren is in touch with journalists and producers across the country on a daily basis, making dozens of placements every week.
Prior to JWPR, Lauren worked at Rubenstein, a New York City p.r. agency where she was part of a team handling the Empire State Building, Tribeca Film Festival, and The Brooklyn Children's Museum. Lauren graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. John's University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
